About Sweet Cheats

Sweet Cheats was created by a National Level Figure Competitor, Shirley Hughes, along with her husband Robert Tubbs and with the help of many friends and family. During her 3 years spent training for her NPC competitions, Shirley was only allowed to eat certain foods and wasn’t always able to have what she was craving. She began taking notes on these cravings turning them into little treats for herself when her strenuous dieting for each competition was over. While in training, one “cheat” meal was allowed per week, and hers were usually sweet concoctions. She then decided on a whim to turn her favorite treats into cupcakes not only for herself but for fellow teammates. Then Sweet Cheats was born!

Absolutely Amazing! I went to sweet treats for a custom Garfield cake for our son’s 25th bday. The final product looks exactly like the inspo picture. The cake was moist and flavorful. The owner and Tillie were so pleasant to work with. Could not be happier with the final product. Thank you so much!

Sweet Cheats worked closely with my mom and sister to make an extremely cute gender reveal cake for my baby shower. They had a wonderful experience working with the staff and the cake was delicious!

We ordered our first custom cake from Sweet Cheats and it was incredible. I don't like red velvet, but it was super delicious. The cookie bits and chocolate chips were an incredible touch. My boyfriend loved his birthday cake! We can't wait until the next time when we can buy another cake from Sweet Cheats!
